The account for the fight of the servants

I am very sorry for the fight between my servants and Montague's servants. The fighting all began when my servants provoked Montague's servants in an audacious manner. But Montague's servants started the fight physically by being the first to draw out their swords. I am also sorry for the actions of my hot-tempered nephew Tybalt, and my reckless action of conflicting with Lord Montague.

It was a good thing that my wife and Montague's wife stopped us from fighting. If not things would have gotten ugly and we might have both been killed. If the prince did not stop the fight, lives could be lost during it. I do not want there to be anymore deaths in our families.

It is true that there has been no punishment this time as the merciful prince has spared us. He told us that we would lose our lives the next time. I hope that there will not be a repetition of this behaviour between the servants.
